Suddenly they hear a rumble nearby. A giant stone blocks the forest path. The Ancient Guardian placed it as a test. He watches from afar to learn if heroes have courage. Blake stands tall and breathes deep. He places both hands on the stone and pushes with all his might. The Guardian Spirit shines bright and Lila lends a sprinkle of fairy dust. “Hooray!” cries Lila with happiness. Blake, the spirit, and the fairy cheer. They walk on toward Blake’s home. Fireflies light the twilight sky. A gentle breeze sings lullaby songs.
At last they reach a cozy cottage. Inside waits a shiny treasure chest. Blake opens it with wonder. He finds three bright medals inside. One says “Bravery.” One says “Kindness.” One says “Teamwork.” Blake pins the medals on his cape. They sparkle with evening light. The Guardian Spirit and Lila hug him. “You are our hero,” they chant softly.
