Princess Maisy Isabella and the Shiny Shoe

Kids stories

Princess Maisy Isabella, a brave ballerina in a castle, loses one shiny ballet shoe. With Doll, Moon Child, and Princess, she follows a sparkle to the tower—where a shy Dragon has kept it safe and offers a tiny treasure in return.
Princess Maisy Isabella and the Shiny Shoe

Princess Maisy Isabella was a ballerina in a big castle. She was gentle and brave. She liked to tip-toe, twirl, and bow.

One morning she gasped. “Oh no! My shiny ballet shoe is gone!”
She looked under the bed. She looked behind a curtain. No shoe.

Doll sat on a soft pillow. Doll was small and helpful. Doll said, “We can find it. I will stay close.”

Moon Child peeked in the window. Moon Child was quiet and curious, with sleepy eyes like a night light. “I saw something sparkle near the tall tower,” Moon Child whispered.

Princess came too. Princess was proud but kind. She carried a tiny lantern. “Let’s walk together,” Princess said.

They went down the castle hall. Tap. Tap. Tap.
Princess Maisy Isabella danced as she walked. “My feet know the way,” she said.
Doll bounced in her arms. “Boing, boing,” Doll giggled.
Moon Child hummed, “Hmmm,” like a soft song.

At the tower door, they heard a deep sound.
“Rrrr… grr…,” said a Dragon.

Princess Maisy Isabella held her missing-shoe foot up. “Hello, Dragon,” she said, very polite.
Dragon sniffed. “I smell sparkle,” Dragon said.
Princess Maisy Isabella’s heart went thump-thump, but she stayed tall. “We are looking for my shiny shoe.”

Dragon blinked. “I did not want to scare you,” Dragon said. “I found it. It was on the stairs. It looked lonely.”

Princess looked at Dragon’s big claws. “Is it safe?” she asked.
Dragon nodded slowly. “Safe. I put it in my treasure nook so it would not fall again.”

They stepped inside. The tower was dim, but the lantern glowed. There were coins, buttons, and one bright ballet shoe.

Doll waved. “Hello, Shoe!”
Moon Child pointed. “Sparkle!”

Princess Maisy Isabella walked closer, one small step at a time. “Thank you, Dragon,” she said.
Dragon looked shy. “Can I keep one thing? Just one tiny thing?”

Princess Maisy Isabella thought. Then she smiled. “You can have my ribbon bow. It is soft, not sharp.”
She untied a pink bow and placed it in Dragon’s claw.
Dragon’s eyes warmed. “I like it,” Dragon said.

Princess said, “Dragon, will you help us get down the stairs?”
Dragon lowered a big, careful wing like a bridge.

Back in the hall, Princess Maisy Isabella put on her shiny shoe. “Click,” it fit.
She did a little dance. Twirl. Twirl. Bow.

Princess clapped. Doll clapped. Moon Child clapped.
Even Dragon clapped, softly, with careful claws.

Then Dragon opened a small box. Inside was a new gift: a tiny silver bell.
“For your dancing,” Dragon said.
Princess Maisy Isabella held it. “Ding!” it chimed.

They danced all the way to the castle room. The bell rang, the shoe shone, and everyone smiled. Princess Maisy Isabella had her shoe back, and a new treasure too.
