Yashfa and the Seashell Compass

Kids stories

Yashfa, a brave little astronaut, dives into the ocean to find a lost seashell compass. With Professor’s help, she befriends a Stone Golem and wins back the compass—plus a tiny treasure.
Yashfa and the Seashell Compass

Yashfa is an astronaut. She is small, brave, and very curious. Today she is not in space. Today she floats in a blue ocean, in a shiny bubble suit.

“Hello, Ocean,” says Yashfa.
The water goes swish-swish.

On a little boat sits Professor. Professor is kind and smart. He wears round glasses and a big hat.
Yashfa,” says Professor, “we lost something important.”

“What did we lose?” asks Yashfa.
“A seashell compass,” says Professor. “It points to safe waves. Without it, our boat may bump-bump.”

Yashfa nods. “We will find it.”

They look down. Fish go zip-zip. A crab goes tap-tap.
Yashfa waves. “Hi, crab!”
The crab points one claw. Tap! Tap! It points to a dark spot under the water.

Yashfa goes down slowly. “I am coming,” she whispers.

In the dark spot sits a Stone Golem. It is big. It is made of rocks. Its eyes are like pebbles.
It holds the seashell compass in its stony hands.

Professor calls, “Oh dear!”

Yashfa feels a tiny shake in her tummy. But she takes a deep breath.
“Hello, Stone Golem,” says Yashfa in a soft voice.

The Golem grinds, “Grrrr. Mine.”

Yashfa thinks. She is an astronaut. She knows tools.
She pulls out her tiny light lamp. Click!
A warm glow fills the water.

“Look,” says Yashfa. “Pretty light.”
Little bubbles go pop-pop.

The Stone Golem blinks. It looks surprised.
Yashfa smiles. “Do you want to play?”

The Golem rumbles, “Play?”

Yashfa picks up three smooth stones and makes a small stack: plop, plop, plop.
“Your turn,” she says.

The Golem tries. Its big fingers are clumsy. The stones fall: clunk!
The Golem makes a sad sound: “Grrrr…”

Professor leans over the boat. “It’s okay,” he says. “Slow. Gentle.”

Yashfa nods. She puts her hands over the Golem’s hands. “Like this. Easy.”
Together they stack: plop… plop… plop!

The Golem’s pebble eyes get bright.
It laughs, a rocky laugh: “Ha-ha… clink!”

Yashfa points to the compass. “Can we have it back? We need safe waves.”

The Golem looks at the compass. Then it looks at Yashfa.
It holds out the compass.
“Friend,” it says.

Yashfa takes it. “Thank you!”

Professor cheers, “Wonderful!”

The ocean suddenly sways. A strong wave comes whoooosh.
Professor grips the boat.

Yashfa holds the seashell compass. The arrow inside twirls, then points.
“This way!” says Yashfa.

They follow the arrow. The wave turns gentle. The boat goes smooth-smooth.

At last they reach a calm, sunny cove. In the sand is a small treasure chest.
“Pop it open,” says Professor.

Yashfa opens it. Click!
Inside are star stickers that sparkle, and a tiny gold whistle.
“For you,” says Professor. “A reward for a brave astronaut.”

Yashfa puts a star sticker on her bubble suit.
She blows the whistle. Toot-toot!
Fish dance круг-circle.

The Stone Golem sits nearby, stacking stones happily.
Yashfa waves. “Bye-bye, friend!”
The Golem waves back.

Yashfa and Professor sail home, safe and smiling, with the compass and the shiny treasure.
