Cowboy lived on a Farm. He wore a small hat and tiny boots. Cowboy was kind and brave. He liked to help.
One sunny morning, Cowboy said, “Howdy, friends!”
Pig snorted, “Oink! I am Pig. I am silly and loud.”
Horse stomped, “Neigh. I am Horse. I am calm and strong.”
Egg sat in a soft nest. Egg whispered, “I am Egg. I am shy. Please be gentle.”
Cowboy looked for his shiny bell. He rang it at snack time. Ding-ding!
But today, the bell was gone.
Cowboy blinked. “My bell is lost.”
Pig gasped. “Oh no! No ding-ding?”
Horse nodded. “We will find it.”
Egg said, very softly, “I can listen.”
They walked past the red barn. They walked by the hay. They walked to the muddy puddle.
Pig jumped in. Splash!
Cowboy laughed. “Pig, you are messy.”
Pig grinned. “I am a mud artist!”
Near the fence, they heard a low growl.
Wolf peeked out. Wolf was sneaky. Wolf wanted the shiny bell.
Wolf said, “Mine now.”
Cowboy stood tall. “That bell helps my Farm. Please give it back.”
Wolf showed the bell in his mouth. It glinted. Ding… but muffled.
Horse stepped close, not scared. “Wolf, we can trade.”
Pig said, “Yes! Trade! I have… a carrot!”
Pig pulled out a carrot that was a little bent.
Wolf sniffed. “Hmm.”
Egg rolled a tiny bit forward. Egg shook, but tried. “Wolf, you can have this soft straw pillow. It is cozy.”
Cowboy smiled at Egg. “Good try, little Egg.”
Wolf looked at the carrot. Wolf looked at the straw pillow. Wolf looked at the friends together.
Wolf’s ears lowered. “I just wanted something shiny,” Wolf muttered.
Cowboy said, “You can have shiny too. But not our bell.”
Cowboy pointed to the pond. “See the water? It can shine.”
Horse said, “We can make a shiny thing for you.”
Pig clapped. “A shiny button!”
They went to the tool shed. Cowboy found a round tin lid. Horse carried it. Pig rubbed it with a cloth. Rub-rub!
Egg watched closely. Egg whispered, “Turn it… like this.”
Cowboy turned the lid. The sun bounced on it. Sparkle!
Wolf’s eyes went wide. “Ooo.”
Cowboy held the new shiny lid out. “For you, Wolf. A mirror.”
Wolf smiled a small smile. “For me?”
Cowboy nodded. “Yes. And you give back the bell.”
Wolf dropped the bell. Ding-ding!
Cowboy picked it up and rang it. Ding-ding-ding!
Pig danced. “Snack time bell!”
Horse swished his tail. “Good work.”
Egg gave a tiny happy wiggle. “We did it.”
Wolf held the mirror and looked at his face. “I look… funny,” he said.
Pig giggled. “We all look funny sometimes!”
Cowboy said, “You can visit the Farm, Wolf. But be kind.”
Wolf nodded. “I will try.”
That evening, Cowboy hung the bell by the barn door, high and safe.
As a reward, Cowboy gave each friend a new thing.
Pig got a clean little scarf.
Horse got a sweet apple.
Egg got a warm blanket for the nest.
And Wolf got his shiny mirror.
Cowboy rang the bell one more time. Ding-ding.
On the Farm, everyone felt safe, full, and glad.
