Detective Joaleen is kind and brave. She wears a small hat and holds a magnifying glass. She lives by the blue sea. One day she wakes up on a golden sand beach. Her dear friend Teddy Bear is by her side. Teddy Bear is soft and warm. He smiles with black shiny eyes. Joaleen taps his paw. Teddy nods.
They hear a gentle voice. The Treasure Hunter arrives. He carries a big bag. He wears a green coat and a big hat. He greets them with a wave. He says, "Hello friends! I lost my shiny seashell map. Without it I cannot find the secret box."
Joaleen frowns. She says, "We will help you." Teddy Bear claps his paws softly. They follow a path under tall palm trees. The sun is bright. The sand feels warm. A soft breeze blows.
They search by a small cave. Joaleen peers inside. She shines her light. Inside she sees glitter. She smiles. It is sea glass. But no map. Teddy Bear sniffs around. He finds a small shell. Joaleen checks it. It is smooth and pink. But not the map. They thank the shell and keep going.
Suddenly they hear a pirate laugh. A tall pirate steps out. It is Captain Red. He wears a red coat. He holds a spyglass. He bars their path. He says, "That map is mine!" Joaleen stands firm. She says, "We will find it first." The pirate growls. He stomps his boots and marches away into the palm grove.
Joaleen and her friends follow him. They tiptoe. The grove is lush and green. They see the pirate chest. It is tucked behind a bush. The pirate is counting coins. Joaleen points. Teddy Bear nods. The Treasure Hunter holds his bag. They wait.
Joaleen gently taps the pirate on the shoulder. He jumps. Joaleen smiles. She says, "Look under the chest." The pirate peers. The map shines. It is pinned under the chest. He yanks it out. He is surprised. He hands it to Joaleen. Joaleen says, "We just wanted to help." The pirate sighs. He smiles. He says, "Thank you for being honest."
They open the map together. It shows a red X by a palm tree. They all hurry. They reach the tree. They dig with a small shovel. They find a wooden box. Inside is a shiny seashell necklace. It glows softly. The Treasure Hunter hugs Joaleen. He thanks her. Teddy Bear cheers. Even the pirate claps.
Joaleen puts the necklace on the Treasure Hunter. He beams. He says, "This is the best treasure ever!" The pirate nods and offers a friendly wave. They all sit on the sand. The sun sets in pink and orange. Joaleen looks at her friends. She feels happy.
They share a snack of sweet fruit. They laugh. They rest under the palm trees. Joaleen says, "Every adventure is fun with friends." Teddy Bear nods and yawns. The pirate hums a soft tune. The Treasure Hunter smiles.
The night sky fills with stars. Joaleen hugs Teddy Bear. She says, "Good night." They sleep on the golden sand.
